Djenné with its old buildings and mud-brick Great Mosque signed to UNESCO World Heritage list definitely deserves more time than I have spent there. I made there a small tour with a help from a local guide, who helped me to keep the begging kids away from me.
The mosque is impressive! I would only imagine how everything looks when the mondey marked is rocking the area!
The town has a bit mysterious atmosphere. You can feel how things have been going there throughout all these years with little change.
Very worth visiting and much more easy than Timbuktu!
