THE SPONSOR OF MY BICYCLE SPARE PARTS IS COMPANY PRODUCING FINE BICYCLE SADDLES
www.abi.com.pl After completing 173 km to Chingola in one day, I felt a bit tired but as Jakob was encouraging me to come for a party in an SMS, I knew there would be a prize at the end of the day.
And it was... a feast and a farewell party to honor his one year voluntary work in this institution.
There were some more fellow polish country men staying there as well since the school is run by polish priests.
For me, the place is like a island in Zambia. I got a place to stay and they fed me well. Jakob is a friend of a friend, but we really quickly found common ground, and swapped notes about places to see and visit.
Beside that, he was extremely helpfull with anything I had to arrange.
Some of my equipment needed repairing, like the zip in my tent and I needed a quiet place without sand everywhere to service my bike. For this I had to unscrew many small parts and use greese so it was good to have a good clean work space.
Every body here was really helpful and I have had the opportunity to remind myself of a bit of polish language too!!
From time to time it is good to stop somewhere and refill my energy for another stretch of road, and this is definately the perfect kind of place.
So, as I do more research about the journey I have planned ahead, my path ahead appears to be getting more complicated.
The civil war in Libya, the unstable political climate in Egypt, the Visa mess with Sudan and more issues in the middle east are erupting.
Even so, after I finish my job here I will be back on the road and it will be just me and my bike once again, so generally nothing to be worried about hey??
