THE SPONSOR OF MY BICYCLE SPARE PARTS IS COMPANY PRODUCING FINE BICYCLE SADDLES
www.abi.com.pl I arrived in this small town quite early in the day. So, after having a look at what the markets have to offer I just sat in the shade to rest and watch what is going on.
Nothing much was going on!! As usual, people walking, kids staring at me, while I was eating and so on...
It doesn't happen too often but in this instance a shopkeeper gave me a cola. This definately doesn't happen too often in Africa, I must say! I must have been looking quite miserable, hi hi hi!
Later in the evening when I was cycling out of the town, I met a white family walking down the road which is quite an unusual sight in this area. When I stopped to talk to them they told me that they were missionaries and had worked here for about 2-3 years.
They were really friendly and straight away they showed interest in my story, so they invited me to stay the night at their house. We had an excellent dinner and a lovely talk about everything around the area, and faith of course as well.
Hi hi, Mike also updated me about the road north and to my suprise I was told they have lions and elephants there as well so I have to be carefull riding my bike.
The next day they farewelled me with their prayers for a safe journey, and my heart began working a bit faster then usual as I proceeded north.
The road was just good enough to ride my bike on but as soon as I got out of Kaoma the rainy days started to arrive and almost every day since then I have had to hide under some shelter in the afternoon because of fast approaching storms.
More or less, this is how I will get to know the local Zambians isn't it?
