The malaria passed as quickly as it came with 3 days of Malarone treatment doing the job, so I'm all good once again!
Nata is quite a boring and expensive place but it was not far and I had a good road all the way there, thanks to the Soda Mine. It was possible to see the Makadikadi Basin, which a long time ago was a huge lake.
It was flat all the way to the mine, with the wind on my back for a short period of time, and finally I arrived!
In one lodge at Nata, the staff gave me some advice about a nice place with a roof and a good view. It was not that difficult to find it so I made it in good time.
This shelter had swamps on one side and a shallow muddy lake on the other. It had an average depth of 1.5 m.
There was bird life all over and many wild beasts. Some of them visited me in the night time (don't worry, none of them were aggressive!!).
This place was just perfect for camping! The next day I went back to Nata and the following day, after restocking with food, I continued North.
