www.abi.com.pl 'Never ending up and down'. This is how I would describe the C28 gravel road up to Bosua pass. And then 1000 metres downhill through the National Park. The Swakomund beach starts something like 100 km inland and goes all the way to the sea, like a desert!!
The sip of water from a plastic bottle covered with dust. The whole herd of springboks and kudu in full gallop crossing a road in front of me as I am speeding downhill... Zebras in the distance watching me and trying to choose the right direction. Oh.. and don't forget about the jackal, I have to stop to try and get a photograph and than they magically vanish!
When I'm up there... I just want to stay longer. But I can't without enough water. Without enough water I wouldn't be able to move fast enough to cross this big wasteland so I have to go...
Wildlife on this land- it belongs to them and they belong to it.
Swakomund is another touristy place. A lot of old white mostly German tourists buying souvenirs (and locals selling them).
A huge stretch of sand dunes just across the dry Swakop River is the main attraction.
One day off and I will move further north. To see where I can't stay longer once again.
