www.abi.com.pl My travel across the Sahara continues. Wind, which blows nonstop, makes a hard work of every single kilometre. Finally, after almost a week on the desert, I get to the city - Boujdour. It was the time to buy a new tyre, cash some money from ATM and eat something good. From now on it won't be just the desert all the time; I’m going to be in more inhabited region. There are two common things: plenty of homeless dogs and plenty of teenagers running around almost like the dogs; they have nothing to do, thus they make trouble.
In most cases the first place you will come across will be a military base, another will be a fishing port or a mining transport hub. Laayoune was a bit different. It had a lake or maybe something more like an old river. The whole town looked more like an old trading post. But all I will really remember is a very strong wind, which almost stopped me on my way out of town. It’s a pity that I couldn’t stop for at least one day and have a look around. The majority of these towns are very unusual. I will never know when the next opportunity appear.
I'm cycling and cycling, but the desert is all the same as it was: huge and sandy. I’ve noticed some small changes; my shade is a bit bigger and days are shorter now. I feel that I’m further to the north - good! Soon, I’m going to see some mountains and then I’ll finally know I’m on the other side.
