From Mole Game Reserve I was going quite fast through Tamele where I spent one day updating photos and some more entries for my blog. Then I continued North up to Paga, a small border town famous for it's Crocodile pond and infamous slave camp. Both of these places had ridiculous entry fees so I decided not to pay and after having my last fried chicken with rice and some salad I crossed the border up to Burkina Faso. The border control guards didn't show any sign of Inteligensy, stamping a totally new page of my passport with an entry stamp.
I was expecting more difficulties at this border but it was not so bad in the end. Actually, I was very positively suprised with the delicious salads on offer in the streets of Po first bordering town, cafes and I also found some very delicious baguettes!!!!
The town had only one tar road but that is not critical really. First I found a nice spot to relax and eat my dinner.
The next day after a delicious breakfast and 30 km on a dirt road I got to Tiebele, famous for its painted houses.
At the entry to this small town I was picked up by a local guide and decided to go to the most interesting painted chief's compound. The place is well visited by foreign tourists and it was quite hard to avoid the obvious tourists there although I had a nice tour with an english speaking guide. The entry fee wasn't much compared to the entry fees in Ghana for similar things!!

The villagers here are very relaxed and it was a very pleasant detour from the main road. Although almost every few hundreds of meters people who I was passing, mostly kids, were shouting at me, "Donner de l'argent", which means give me some money!!
It looks like Burkina Faso might be quite an interesting place to see. But this we will see???
Finally I went back to the main road and the next day the winds took me up to Ougadougou.
