www.abi.com.pl Getiing there wasn't as difficult as some people had told me. Just prior, in Bole I met a South African who warned me about ongoing robberies on that road which probably never happened based on my expereince, but maybe I got lucky?
Just before I got to Mole Game Reserve I had to take a side trip to Wa which was the closest place with an ATM. It took and extra two days of my time, and added 200 km to my total travel distance.
I found the road was fairly safe, but in a very bad state of repair so when I finally reached the place I was going, I was really happy!!!!
What should I write about this National Park?? You can probably find out more than I can tell you on the Internet.
The thing that I will say is the walking Safari is the cheapest in Africa!!!!! All together with entry and camping fees it cost me arund 27 Cedis, which is about 18 USD. It also includes a swimming pool right in the best viewing place to see the tree covered western end of the park..
All that, and you get to have a close look at some wild life including elephants within view!!!
Mole is very charming. It is so easy to see and walk with the animals, which are also not afraid of people. The 40 years of park management and the hard work of all it's staff have made it possible to come close to a dear, monkey or elephant almost as close as 5 m and it won't run away!!!
I also met some nice people and spent a relaxing 1.5 days surrounded by wildlife. I would recommend this place to all visitors in Ghana!!
So, after my rest I went back onto the terrible road to suffer for the next 90 km until I got to a tar road and on to Tamale.
