Crash my bike and bent the front fork

So finally it happened!! The thing I was most afraid of... I crashed my bike. Happily there was nothing which didn't stop my ability to proceed however I had bent the front fork, and I had to continue all the way to Kinshasa without any repairs.
The funnies thing is that it happened on a straight road! I was going around a big water hole and the side path had a sudden 90 degree step big enough to bring me over. My breaks didn't hold and I fell straight down. Nothing happened to me but my poor bike hit the ground very hard which is how it ended up with a bent fork.
Thankfully I could still continue, I had problems with turning fast on the curves but I was still able to go forward. So off I went!
Luckily a friend from www.afrykanowaka.pl was coming to Kinshasa and my mother was able to send another fork with him from home.
So I continued on, with mud, water holes, rocks, trees, side tracks. Ever faster, moving forward trying to catch up with Mark Reachard.
